An old religious residence, converted in the summer of 2004 for rural tourism and consisting of apartments separate from the owners´ house. Situated in one of the most beautiful parts of the the district of La Safor, in the residential development of La Drova, some 400 metres above sea level and lying in gorgeous countryside at the foot of Monte Monduver. Our hotel guarantees a peaceful and relaxing stay in a tranquil setting. You´ll be able to enjoy stunning views of the area; wounderful countryside that combines steep mountains and fine sandy beaches just a few kilometres from each other; and a host of activities in the local area revolving around the cultural and leisure activities available in nearby villages and towns such as Gandía, Oliva and Tavernes de Valldigna.
El Somni House has grounds of 3,900 sq. m., a 5x10 m swimming pool offering wonderful views of the nearby mountains as well as a sun terrace with parasols, a viewing point, pine groves, a large covered porch with garden furniture and a table tennis table, etc. The house is situated in La Drova, where the monks that lived at the monastery of Santa María de la Valldigna once spent their summers. The monastery has now been converted into a number of primary residences and holiday homes. Surrounded by impressive mountains, La Drova forms part of the municipality of Barx, in the district of La Safor, and lies between the mountain ranges of Buixcarró and Mondúver, approximately 400 metres above sea level. Surrounded in part by protected land, the house offers guests complete tranquillity but is far from being isolated and remote, as it lies only 100 metres away from a number of other houses. Rooms
The house features two apartments that are separate from the owners´ house and have their own private access. They are both warmly decorated, boast outward-facing windows and are very bright. They also have all the facilities and amenities you need for a relaxing stay. Both apartments have their own names: Apartamento Los Pinos (capacity 6 people): - 3 double rooms: one with a double bed (150 cm wide) and another with two singles (90 cm wide). - Two full bathrooms, one of them ensuite in the double room. - Lounge/dining room with kitchenette. - Terrace with views and garden furniture (large table, chairs and easy chairs). Apartamento Las Vistas (capacity 4 people): - 1 one double room with a double bed (135 cm wide) and two single rooms each with a 90cm bed. - Full bathroom - Lounge/dining room with kitchenette. - Terrace with views and garden furniture (large table, chairs and easy chairs). We can also provide cots and one extra folding bed per apartment.
Other facilities
The apartments have a shared arcaded porch with outdoor furniture - the ideal place to sit and chat or enjoy a quiet read. The apartments also have: - Large terraces offering superb views. - Landscaped areas - a pine grove with a table and stone benches - a wide variety of trees (olive, almond and walnut trees, etc.) - A 10x5 m swimming pool with a 200 sq. m. sun terrace. - Good access and parking.

The house also provides an excellent base from which to explore neighbouring districts along the coast (Cullera, Denia, Jávea, Altea, etc.) or inland (Xativa, Albaida, etc.), all within a radius of 30 to 60 km.
Visitors can enjoy a number of activities in the surrounding area such bike riding, hiking through the many beauty spots in the area (such as La Puigmola, the climb up Monte Monduver, etc.), sampling the water from the numerous springs in the municipality, taking in the wonderful views of the Valley of La Valldigna from the La Visteta vantage point or strolling through the village´s narrow streets, etc. You can also while away the hours peacefully at the house by taking a dip in the swimming pool, sunbathing, strolling though the grounds, lounging in a hammock beneath the pines, sheltering in the porch when the rain comes or stargazing from the viewing point.
